“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
We (Saints and the world alike) make resolutions and goals every New Year; but have we set goals to love more? On a personal note, the above scripture is a goal that I aspire to meet this year in 2016. However, the need to make this goal a priority was not clearly evident until this past Sunday; when God spoke audibly and direct through our Man of God, Bishop Bobby Wellons, Sr. in reference to a “lack of love” among the Saints.
2016 is not just a New Year, but a New Life for us all. It’s a shame, when you see yourself as a Christian and you recognize the loss of love, peace, joy, and even togetherness within yourself and church family. When these instances begin to rear their ugly heads, that’s when you know a revival needs to take place; corporately and personally. Are you willing to acknowledge your faults and come up higher (be revived)? Are you willing to look at the “Man in the Mirror” and face the fact that you have lost your true and sincere love? I am, we (NCLDC) are! Let’s begin to examine ourselves, and “get it together” as true Saints and God-fearing Christians.
When we first surrendered ourselves to the Lord, love was there. We only wanted to be closer to Jesus, tell everyone about him, and serve him. But since then; there has been a disconnection. Saints, go back to your first love. Begin to seek God with passion ALL OVER AGAIN for yourself. Use Galatians 5:22-23 as a reference to see yourself: make it your life’s goal and not a New Year’s resolution. As we embark of this journey of Agape love within ourselves and the Body of Christ, we will continue to pray a “Right Now Prayer” for your strength in the Lord. May this change takes place in your life today and not tomorrow. As the Word of God states according to Hebrews 11:1 (KJV), “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
God bless you and MUCH LOVE from New Changing Life Deliverance Church, Miami, Fla.
