Holy Communion: Don’t Forget to Remember

We at New Changing Life Deliverance Church is so blessed by what God has done for our ministry through the life and instruction of our Leader, Prophet, Evangelist, and Bishop Bobby Wellons, Sr. God has blessed him to carry out a great work that only the Lord has strengthened him to prosper in. We can never thank God, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior enough for the jewel HE has blessed us with.

On First Sunday, August 3, 2015 the Lord reminded us of the importance of Holy Communion and its benefits to our soul and body. Holy Communion is a memorial unto Jesus Christ, and we are encouraged to sup with one another by eating the bread (Body of Christ) and drinking the wine/grape juice (Blood of Jesus) as a time of remembering HIS death until HIS return. We must examine ourselves, and our faith in HIM, recognizing the price HE paid and the life He gave for our sins. We are forever indebted to HIM, so as often as we break the break and drink the wine/grape juice, do it in remembrance of Jesus with all affection and sincerity. Our faith in partaking in this Holy Communion with the eating of the (bread) Body of Christ and drinking the (wine/juice) Blood of the Lamb, and our reverence to HIS sacrificial death also assures that OUR bodies can be healed. The bible says that because of carelessness and unworthy participation “… many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” So, we can gain great health benefits in addition to remembering the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Showing HIM that we APPRECIATE the sacrifice HE made for us and not taking it for granted.

Please review 1 Corinthians 11:24-30 for a deeper understanding of Holy Communion and its significance in our Christian walk.
