John 4:24 (KJV) God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Thank God for our Bishop and Leader: Bishop Bobby Wellons, Sr. on this Sunday evening. The Lord used him to touch the hearts and lives of many; but mainly helping us to realize that we need to reach God in the spirit and not in the flesh. If you truly begin to pray, walk, talk, and meditate on God in the Spirit; your connection and communication will begin to reach Him on another level. You will begin to see yourself going higher in Him.
However, this is not a onetime thing; we must be consistent with our SPIRITUAL communication with God. The Man of God spoke about the “Mystery” of God in reference to praying in the spirit. The bible tells us that when we pray, pray in secret. This secret prayer is about being on an up close and personal level that the devil can’t enter in. You are not praying to show off, or gain recognition by your many words. You are praying to reach God so that things and situations change for the better.
Matthew 6:5 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
Matthew 6:6 (KJV) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to the Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
How do we expect to reach God, if it’s not in the Spirit? The Spirit knows what we need to pray for, before we even know. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) “even so the things if God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” Only God knows what’s best for us. Sometimes we should ask God to bless us with what HE desires for us, because it WILL be the BEST. Romans 8:26 (KJV) is prime example of why allowing the spirit to pray on our behalf helps… “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
With that said, not only MUST we thank God for God and Jesus, we must ALSO thank God for His Holy Spirit. For it will lead and guide us into all truth. The spirit will also assist us in completing the assignments that God has placed in our lives. We all are on a mission to complete a spiritual task at hand. But we must first make up in our minds that we will give up the FLESH for the SPIRIT. We must prepare ourselves for the blessing of God, by being on time and ready for whatsoever HE may ask of us.
Question: Are you ready?
Saints, we are going higher. God is getting ready to promote us to another level. For those true saints that are worshipping God in Spirit and in truth; for those saints that “see the Man of God as he goes up” (2 Kings 2: 1-11 KJV); for those saints that will “stick and stay” when the Man of God goes down, get ready to go higher. You are being promoted to another levelJ It’s been a rough journey, and a long road traveled, but it’s your time and it’s your season (thou good and faithful servants). Remember, what goes down; must come up.
Take a moment to review the following scriptures as God used the Man of God to bring them forth in today’s POWERFUL message of strength, love, joy, prosperity, increase, and salvation. Each scripture applies to specific scenarios that all work together for the good of those that love the Lord.
