THEME: LOOK WHERE HE BROUGHT US FROM

“And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.”
Genesis 24:56
Showing appreciation and giving gratitude as we honor our Bishop,
A man after God’s heart

Bishop Bobby Wellons, chosen and called of God has faithfully walked in obedience to God’s divine purpose and plan for his life. As his commitment to serving God deepened, with his willingness to serve in faithfulness, he has proven to be a true visionary and God has given him a purpose for us here on earth. God has placed Bishop Wellons in a full-time ministry who prolifically teaches, preaches and studies over the Word of God. Bishop Bobby Wellons is an example of one who has stepped out on faith, who truly puts his trust in God. I Timothy 1:12 says “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enable me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” This scripture is truly a direct reflection of Bishop Wellons.

The Word of God also states that “we shall be known by our fruits.” Under God’s guidance, Bishop’s leadership has transformed the membership of New Changing Life Deliverance Church tremendously. His life serves as an example to the Body of Christ in consistency and accountability to God so much until his parishioners follow Him regardless of their personal costs. He remains faithful and obedient to God by teaching his congregation their rightful position as children of God. He shows them their inheritance through Jesus (Blood) as well as the power and authority they have over the adversary. Bishop Wellons constantly emphasizes to the church that we are all called and chosen of God, with a divine purpose and plan for our lives that includes reaching out to the lost and dying world.

Bishop Bobby Wellons,
We love you – keep up the good work!

And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come.

Nehemiah 6:3

BISHOP’S BIOGRAPHY

Bishop Bobby Wellons was born on February 22nd to the late Ellen Wellons in Cordell, Georgia. As the fifth child of six children, he was already anointed while still in his mother’s womb. Although poor and raised in a single parent home, he was brought up in church and learned to reverence God. Bobby eventually met and married Ms. Thelma Jean Henry. They relocated to Miami, Florida, and from this union six children were born: Anita, Bobby Jr., Tammy, Rodney, Tracy and Selina.
Although Bobby knew the Lord, he started pimping and hustling to support his family. But the Lord answered the prayers of his wife and mother as he accepted the Lord back into his life on April 19, 1971. He was a faithful member of First Faith Cathedral until the Lord gave him a greater calling. He started on the streets of Coconut Grove as an evangelist, preaching the Word of God, praying and healing. He opened his first church in the Grove as the Pastor of Last Day Deliverance. His ministry grew and he eventually became Pastor of Faith and Deliverance in Liberty City in 1981. God continued to use his life, and the church moved twice into larger sanctuaries during this time. The Lord also gave Pastor a new vision, and the church name was changed to New Changing Life Deliverance Church in 1988.
As Pastor of New Changing Life in the 1990’s, Bobby went through several trials, but always gave God the glory. He told the church he was going to fall, but that he would be back. He lost his church, became homeless, and his family was separated. His mother and oldest daughter went home to be with the Lord. He even used alcohol, weed and crack on the streets of Opa Locka. But the Lord picked him up and gave him a powerful anointing filled with the Holy Spirit. He started preaching again in homes, motels, and in churches on nights they did not have service. The Lord saw his faithfulness, and in November 2004, New Changing Life was blessed with a sanctuary to call its own.
With a new testimony and a new vision, more souls were brought to the Lord. However, for years Bobby had quietly denied the Lord’s will for him to be elevated to a higher position. Finally one night in a vision God sent him a message – become a Bishop or come home. Then on February 14, 2006, Bobby was working for the Lord when he had a car accident. It was a hit and run, and he was left with a broken neck in two places. He was so seriously injured the doctors sent him to the trauma unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital to die. He was told even if he lived he would be paralyzed. God not only spared his life – he was healed from his neck injury in 80 days: walking, talking and praising God even more. Bobby accepted his new calling, and his vision continues to help souls from hell to holiness. We ask for continual prayers for Bishop and New Changing Life Ministries – it ain’t over yet!

God made pastors. God gave them tender hearts, to hold the hurts of others. He gave them gentle hands, to reach out with compassion and love. God gave them eyes to see the beauty and worth of a single soul. He gave them feet to move swiftly, to pursue justice, restoration, and peace. God laid His hand upon them and breathed hope into their spirits. He filled them with His strength, and placed a message of urgency around their lives. God challenged them to greater works than He had ever done. Then, with His own hand of blessing, He wrapped them up in His mantle of love … and called them Pastors.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace.
1 Peter 4:10 NIV

BISHOP’S TESTIMONY

We thank God for using our Bishop, Pastor, and Evangelist Bobby Wellons. The Lord took him from pimping and hustling to preaching and healing. Through his life souls have been saved, people have been delivered, and lives have been changed. Although God was using our Pastor’s life mightily during this time, the Lord had an even greater work for him to do. The man of God went through a trial, and he fell. He lost his church. He became homeless. He used crack. But the Lord picked him up and gave him a powerful anointing and teaching filled with the Holy Spirit. He is a living witness today that with God’s help he made it from crack back to Christ. His new testimony brought even more souls to the Lord. He was blessed with a new ministry and a new vision for God’s people, but he was still a Pastor. He denied the Lord’s plan for a higher calling, and in a vision God sent him a message – become a Bishop or come home. Suddenly, early one morning while working for the Lord, Pastor had a car accident. It was a hit and run, and he was left with a broken neck. But God spared his life and showed him that although he was the best Pastor, through God he would be an even better Bishop. The Man of God accepted his new calling, and is now elevated to the office of Bishop. Bishop Wellons has a vision to help souls, to help those no one else cares to help. He wants you, the city of Miami, and even world to know the Lord loves them, no matter what they’ve done. All the sins and mistakes you’ve made make you eligible for forgiveness. If you want to live a holy life, if you want to serve God with your whole heart, believe in God and He will never leave you or forsake you. We must choose this day who we will serve, for our Bishop is preaching the last day ministry – it’s holiness or hell.
